This position will be part of the SCM team in supporting the management of import and export logistical processes and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The position focuses on overseeing and supporting inbound and outbound operations and trade compliance. The position also requires coordinating with various internal and external stake holders and implementing strategies to support import/export procedures while maintaining compliance standards.

Job Description:

  • Support daily operations for import and export trade activity in the region.

  • Collaborate with US sites to ensure there is an understanding of Customs processes and practices.

  • Be the point of escalation for Customs Broker related issues and provide adequate support.

  • Support the locations to implement Customs operations processes.

  • Support Vitesco’s trade service provider with Customs compliance related activities.

  • Provide guidance and support to internal team members regarding global trade compliance matters, including Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classification, INCOTERMS, and USMCA.

  • Support cross-functional project work with internal (e.g., production, design, industrial engineering, IT) as well as external stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, brokers, trade service provider)

  • Support Duty Drawback program

  • Conduct and support data accuracy audits and assessments to ensure adherence to global customs regulations and company policies.

  • Assist with improving data quality across, SAP and Import Data Reports

  • Support, consulting and training for material flow and import/export processes for Americas region manufacturing locations.

  • Support Supply Chain Security requirements of CTPAT and ISF standards.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar qualification within area of supply chain management

  • 3+ years of professional experience in the above-mentioned job description working within a manufacturing environment

  • In depth knowledge of US import/export regulations, customs procedures, and trans compliance practices

  • Proficiency using PowerBI and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience using SAP

  • Working knowledge of Incoterms

  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, global freight forwarding, and supply chain management

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.

  • High degree of team working capability

  • Fluent English language skills written and spoken

  • Team player mentality and intercultural competence

  • Willingness to travel as required (forecast 1 to 3 events per year)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar qualification within area of supply chain management

  • In depth knowledge of US import/export regulations, customs procedures, and trans compliance practices

  • Knowledge of Foreign Trade Zone import requirements and processes

  • Knowledge of US Duty Drawback processes
